Nutrition?
Alright. I’ve had enough. I just don’t see how it is at all possible to get the amount of calories we need in a day without getting way too much fat. Will someone please tell me what I can do.

Of course it’s possible. We live in a world of supersized portions and waists. The amount of calories you need is probably a fraction of what most people consume each day. To maintain a healthy weight, choose a balanced diet (low in fat, medium carbs, and lots of proteins and water) combined with at least 30 minutes of exercise each day. It helps to come up with a meal plan to help you stay on track (all of us have times when we’re hungry and due to lack of planning what we’re going to eat, we just indulge in comfort foods).Track what you eat (there are many programs for this that give you fat content, etc). Avoid emotional eating, and processed, high-fat, sugary foods, all those calories go to your belly! Eat 4-6 small "meals" a day to increase your metabolism. For more information go to wikipedia or google etc… tons of pages and different diets. For an exercise program I recommend Zumba…it’s so entertaining and you’re burning calories without even realizing it (actually you do feel the burn in your muscles) but time flies by and it leaves you wanting more. You’ll feel and look great and more importantly you’ll live longer. Good luck! ^_^
just eat well, drink well, sleep well n exercise well
First off, avoid processed foods. You need to be in control of what you eat. That means stay away from restaurants, fast food, and prepared meals.
Limiting your calories from fat to around 25% is actually quite easy. What you need to do though, is to track and measure everything you eat. Track the amount of calories, carbs, proteins, and fats. There are software programs and websites you can use to track this.
So then, armed with all these tools, you plan your meals. Limit meat to around 2oz per serving, use little if any added fats to cook with, and eat lots of whole grains, fruits and vegetables.
Do this and you might be looking for ways to add more fat to get up to your desired amount.
Eat your vegetables and fruits and try to stay from too many carbohydrates. Go easy on white bread and potatoes. Rice is good for you Try to leave rich deserts alone. I like to eat fat free yogurt -sugar free with fruit and pretend i have a desert. When having a desert have a fruit or custard pie. When you bake go easy on the sugar. I don’t know if i helped any but i tried- the main thing is to keep on trying to do the best that you can do. Try not to eat too many fried foods. Drink lots of water about 8 glasses a day.
There are straightforward approaches to eating well that will limit fat intake, but more importantly focus on quality nutrition. Some simple but very effective suggestions would be:
1) Drink at least 1 liter of water a day. This will keep you hydrated, but for diet reasons it will physically displace drinking occasions where you might have soda, beer, wine, etc. that can add enormous amounts of calories.
2) Eat 5 servings of fresh fruit & vegetables per day. Great nutrition for long-term health, but again in terms of dieting this will tend to displace eating occasions where average individuals eat calorie / fat dense junk food.
3) Think quality fat vs. no fat. Cook fresh ingredients as you like, but replace low quality fats with sparing amounts of high quality virgin olive oil, canola oil, or specialty oils with Omega 3 fatty acids. These fats change the burn vs. storge component of fat cells, plus are just darn healthy!
These three suggestions taken together will go along way to a healthy diet that keeps off weight.
