    Hello John

Im both a meditation teacher & hypnotherapist. Self hynosis has faster results.

Meditation is a practice, used for many reasons, inner peace etc.
Self hyp is usually for a specific aim in reguard to healing a certain aspect of the self.

It’s merely the same thing but you use meditation to clear the mind and hypnosis to go into a control mind stage to increase your awareness.

In meditation, you’re simply clearing the mind, achieving quietness. You’re not going in deep and you’re not giving yourself any suggestions, other than maybe relax or envisioning a peaceful scene.

There are lots of different ways to meditate, walking meditation, mantra meditation, yantra meditation (eyes focus on a picture) and others. The main idea is to find a way to give your mind and your body a break while falling into a gap where healing can take place. There are also guided meditations which is pretty much the same as self hypnosis. You might focus on an area that is in pain and just let your breath flow nice and easy while focusing on letting the pain go. That can be meditation or hypnosis.

Is religious practice, we don’t do self hypnosis because it doesn’t lead to enlightenment. Secular meditation helps one to relax in stress reduction and raise one’s body immunity. I meditate as part of the practice in Falun Gong. The Falun Gong meditation helps one to purify the body, to strength the energy flow into and within the body, and promotes spiritual peace as to achieve enlightenment.

Falun Gong is a unique Buddhist School, found in 1992 by Master Li Hongzhi in China. It’s practiced in over 80 countries worldwide. Falun Gong is an ancient practice for the body, mind, based upon the universal principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance. Falun Gong consists of five sets of powerful exercises and the demo videos are free for download.

Falun Gong, Tibetans, Buddhists, and Christians have been persecuted in China. The most offensive human right violation is the organ harvesting from the Falun Gong practitioners in China. Can you kindly sign a petition to stop persecution of peaceful Falun Gong practitioners in China, please ?
