lol, yaa FUCK the hair. This is the problem, we are all worried about our hair and these little minuscule things that have no real impact to change anything at all. Yet, we leave all the big things on the side. Get educated on this shit people, this is a problem and the public needs to be aware of this. Get your books out and start reading.Fuck the lab coats, the public should have understanding of this as much as the scientists involved.

Can you cite studies to support that claim? If it were true, about the European countries, I’d suspect it would be common knowledge.

One article i googled stated ” Eighteen percent of world cancer mortality occurs in the 15 European Union (EU) countries, even though they account for only 7% of the world population.”
The article date is Decembe 1997, and titled “European cancer incidence, mortality rates still growing”.
I also roughly compared total cancer deaths for 2002. And the incidents of mortality seemed compable.

My brilliant colleague MK Newell at UCCS first discovered and patented DCA as part of a novel way to look at the impact of manipulating metabolism to treat cancer. Her intellectual property has been licensed by a company Viral Genetics (VRAL)

Patented? I read that it is NOT patentable. That is why it is not offered by the Pharmaceutical companies.
The DCA compound is not patented and not owned by any pharmaceutical company, and, therefore, would likely be an inexpensive drug to administer, says Michelakis, the Canada Research Chair in Pulmonary Hypertension and Director of the Pulmonary Hypertension Program with Capital Health, one of Canadas largest health authorities.

I think it works for some cancers, for some people, some of the time. It seems to be fairly safe. I would not take it as a supplement, but would consider it as one of a few options if I had cancer.

Aren’t those just method of use patents? Filed in 2004-2005? I’ve seen other DCA use patents filed as far back as 1995. Michelakis also has use patents.

@dayati, what drives me nuts is if treatments with such negative effects arn’t neccesary. We need to figure out a way to balance the body and make it virtually impossible for tumors to survive AND make it known to the majority of people.
